Hello!
I’m Jessica! I’m a writer, a pastor’s wife, and a stay – at – home mom to four little ones. When I started this blog, I was in the midst of a quarter life crisis. Or maybe just a stay – at -home – mom – with – no – adult – interaction – and – no – time – for – hobbies – or exercise – crisis. I was feeling down about being “merely mommy.” I’m sure you know the feeling. But the thing is, I’m not merely a mommy, and neither are you. We have many different vocations; We are wives, sisters, friends, and daughters. We are neighbors and coworkers. We create and teach, love and support.
We play many important roles in the world around us, but, at the end of the day, the role of mommy is the most vital. For through our unglamorous work, God cares for his youngest, most vulnerable creations. The ones who need us most.
I can’t claim to be an expert on this beautiful mess of motherhood, but I can share what I’m learning in the midst of it and the tips and tricks I find to make sure everyone is alive, clothed, and fed until bedtime. I hope to extend that opportunity to you as well. So stick your coffee mug back in the microwave and join the conversation (when you find the opportunity to finish a sentence, that is) here.
